Wimba Create
Wimba Create is a content creation tool which works as an add-in to Microsoft Word 2010, not as a separate application. It can be used to quickly and easily convert your Word documents into accessible web pages, ready for uploading to NOW. Using formatting options you can customise the appearance or emphasise parts of the content. You can also choose a formatting scheme which allows you to maintain a consistent look and feel across a group of web pages.
Wimba Create allows you to incorporate images, audio and video, and to easily link to other content (e.g. websites, other files). It also contains accessibility checking options to help ensure that your content can be used by people with disabilities. Once you have created your set of web pages, you can upload them to your NOW learning room (see Key Tasks, below). Pages can then be edited in NOW using the NOW HTML Editor.
To request installation of Wimba Create on your computer (PCs only - there is no Mac version at present), please contact ITS Service Desk (its.servicedesk@ntu.ac.uk or x88500).
