Presenting student task lists online
An online task list allows you to link to websites, resources and tools which are related to a given task. This helps direct students towards relevant reading and tools which can aid them in achieving the intended learning outcomes of the module or programme.
It is important to consider how these lists are organised as part of the course. Students need to understand when it is they need to complete these tasks and how they relate to their other learning. Using the NOW Checklist tool lets you release further resources in NOW (e.g. Assessments, Dropbox folders, Content Topics) once your students have completed either all or part of the checklist (you specify which)
The main difference between creating a task list using a web page or the NOW Checklist tool is that you can let students interact with the NOW tool enabling them to tick off items as they complete them. This functionality is not as easy to create within a web page.
