Presenting slides (e.g. PowerPoint) online
You might want to make presentations available to your students via NOW for consolidation or revision purposes, or to replace a standard face-to-face lecture. The standard way to do this at NTU is to use Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 to create your presentation then upload it to your NOW learning room. They can be made more generally useful by adding notes pages to your PowerPoint slides or adding narration to your presentation.
Presentations can also be presented to replace lecture material rather than supplement it. In this case, accompanying notes and/or narration become more important as the presentation will need to function as a stand-alone resource. For this reason, once again, you may consider adding notes or narration (see above).
It is also possible to share your presentation more widely using one of a number of free online services such as SlideShare and SlideBoom. These are not owned or supported by NTU, however. This means that the eLearning Help Desk (NOW Team) or CPLD will not be able to answer your queries and there will not be any NTU guidance or training available.
